The Voices of Christ Apostolic-Prophetic School of the Scribe (APSOTS) is the premier educational center for prophetic scribes who are seeking to uncover their scribal identity; refine their purpose and discover how to impact their spheres of influence with integrity, authority, precision, and power.
Founded by Apostle Theresa Harvard Johnson, The School of the Scribe is the result of the evolution of the evangelistic ministry of the Voices of Christ Prophetic Poetry Team, which began in a small church in south Metro Atlanta with a few poets from varying denominations across the city. We were among the first pioneering groups of artists in our area operating as a prophetic team in the arts.
In 2004, Charisma Magazine highlighted our journey in the article, “Georgia Based Prophetic-Poets Use Poetry as an Evangelism Tool.” At the time, the team hosted regular worship arts and poetry concerts around the city, bi-annual Voices of Christ Prophetic Poets & Writer’s conferences – the only one of its kind at the time - and performed poetry by request across the state and nation at worship arts conferences, special church events and community functions.
The team met weekly for Christian-artist-based bible studies and healing sessions, which drew interest from other non-Christian spiritual groups in the city which was uncommon at that time, and hosted a popular radio broadcast entitled, “The Praise Poetry Café” and later, “Spoken Live!” Everything the organization accomplished was through partnership and collaboration with team members, ministries and community organizations. The ministry grew to include seventeen chapters nationwide.
In 2005, the Lord released a powerful prophetic word to Theresa after awakening her from a dream, entitled: “There is a Scribal Anointing Upon the Land.” Though this word was heavily rejected and ignored by leading prophetic voices at the time, she shared it along with other prophecies about the coming move of the Lord in this arena with anyone who would listen. This prompted her to publish, Esdras’ Scroll, a prophetic creative writing magazine from 2005 to 2012 in print and online which included prophetic poetry, short stories, devotions, prophetic art and commentary from authors globally. She also collaborated with ministries to publish the work of incarcerated believers.
In early 2006, this prophecy gave birth to her first instructional manuscript for prophetic writers, “The Scribal Anointing: Scribes Instructed in the Kingdom of Heaven.” The book was published in 2007 and the ministry name was changed to Voices of Christ Literary Ministries International. In addition, the concept of “The School of the Scribe” was born. In 2010, the online school opened and she began to raise up the Lord’s scribal nation in the hope of duplicating the vision for the scribal awakening. Her website, “The Chamber of the Scribe,” catalogued this journey through over 500 prophecies and articles.
In 2014, Theresa met Apostle Dr. Kluane Spake through an unlikely, supernatural encounter. Dr. Spake released a powerful prophetic word that caused her to make one decision: Shut down Voices of Christ Literary Ministries International where her time was split between the online scribe school, evangelistic outreach, scribe conferences and mentorship, and focus her attention on building “The School of the Scribe.”
The same day the word came forth, Theresa held a nation-wide meeting with the teachers who had joined forces with her in the school and the mentees on her team and informed them of her decision to build the scribe school exclusively. Voices of Christ Literary Ministries International came to an end, and The School of the Scribe became an educational repository for scribal learning.
The school’s aim is to affirm, encourage and assist prophetic scribes and prophetic writers with uncovering their identity and being fully released in their ministry. In doing so, we believe that they will develop a deep honor and respect for their calling, grow in their loyalty to Christ and move intentionally within their scribal purpose. We believe that every prophetic scribe must be “instructed” in the Kingdom of Heaven (Matthew 13:52).
To facilitate the vision, The School of the Scribe offers the following learning opportunities through the annual Scribal Advance conference; Scribes Over this City encounters, Prophetic Writing Flow intensives, the Scribal Prophet’s Facebook group, the Scribal Arsenal bookstore and the Online School of the Scribe.
